City Hall

Garfield City Hall was originally erected by the Garfield Worsted Mill in the early 1900s as a cafeteria and day nursery for their employees.  The mill closed shortly after World War I and the building was taken over by the city for unpaid taxes.  The building was then used by the city as a recreation center called City Casino.  The renovation of the building into the City Hall began in 1940 and reopened on August 24, 1941.
